What do I
mean? My first blog post this year was in changing the world by giving. My second post was about sharing. In my last blog post, I talked about changing oneself. These posts are all great ways that I can change the world but this post will be a little different. This blog post is all about changing the world with love. As I said before, there many ways to make a difference and love is a huge one.
Everyone will have many experiences and some of them will include making a choice. For instance, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"( Lao-Tzu), shows how changing the world starts with one step, love. My journey in life will be very long and to have others like me I have to do something.
A time when I learned about love and how it changed the world was when I was about 7. I went to a children's group that talked about making a difference. I honestly did not want to attend the group because it seemed to take a lot of time. I also thought that nothing interesting was going to happen and that is why I was making up excuses. My parents told me to go, therefore, I went.
The group meeting took about half an hour but it felt like five minutes. The group changed my perspective on love because I thought that there was only one type of love. From this group, I learned that love consists of many branches. An important branch of love is loving elders.
The group leader message was that love changes the world because of what it does to others. For instance, " As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person"(Paul Shane Spear), demonstrates the impact we should make with love. Loving others is like loving one itself. This similarity can be compared with the golden rule. The golden rule states that we should treat others the way we want to be treated. Another rule that is quite similar to the golden rule, is the silver rule.
These rules all come from the Bible. When Jesus was with his disciples he said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." Jesus always preached on how everyone should learn how to love. I talk about Jesus because I am catholic but this applies to all religions.

A daily-baisis love
Loving elders is a great way to start making a change. Some ways to love elders is by listening to them, respecting them and following their good examples. For instance, "listen to your elder's advice, not only because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong"(unknown), shows how others should listen to elders. Elders are more experienced than us because they have been through similar situations. The quote mentioned reminds me of my parents because they always give me advice.
I once asked my parents how they knew all of this and they said that they had gone through a similar situation. Since then, I always listen to them because I am changing the world just by loving my parents, which are elders. This kind of love towards can be used a daily- basis because kids see their elders on a daily basis.
Respecting elders is always a good thing for the world and for them. Everyone needs respect but respect is gained if respect is given. Teachers, especially, teach their students about respect and how to use it. Respect is very simple because the only thing required is obedience. For instance, "Give your teachers the respect they deserve, because they are the ones that who can help you get where you need to go" (Richard Howard),shows why teachers deserve respect.
By respecting my teachers, I am changing the world with love. As I mentioned before, love consists of branches. Students go to school to learn and teachers are the ones who teach them. If teachers teach us students something bad, then they are ruining us. They decide to not do so because they have free will to do so. As people say, "You never know what you had until you lose it". The best thing to do is to love, love and love.

Love is a strong word and so is hate.
As much as love makes someone's day better, hatred can ruin it.
