Student Brands
Personal Branding is important and essential for everyone. "Sara is the smart one" ,"Jack is great at soccer", and "Steven is going places" (Linne 21) are all brands. In the book, the author explains how people use brands. All the time, teachers and parents "brand" students or their children. They make opinions towards their futures of their likes and dislikes. In school, children start to get involved into sports and activities. They have to be careful because saying bad words to others can damage their "brand". "People will spend will spend about four minutes learning about you via your Internet footprint prior to meeting you" (Linne 24). When students start looking for colleges, 1/3 of the colleges look them up. "Your brand is only as strong as your behavior on a daily and even moment - to- moment basis" (Linne 35). Personal Branding is important to students because it defines who they are. They have to behave great to have a great brand. "Branding" others can be dangerous because it can lead to trouble. When students distinguish themselves into the "best" or "worst", feelings are hurt. It is very essential to "treat others as you would like to be treated"(Luke 6:31). This "golden rule" is very helpful for students to balance their brands.
Attributes
I am inspired on a daily basis by my skills, passions, values and roles because they motivate me to become a professional and creative person. Every year, I participate in Food Bowls. Food Bowls is a nationwide foundation to help the less fortunate. In this foundation, I act as a leader towards others by encouraging them. In Colombia, my parents give donations to the poor cities. My main passions are drawing and traveling. I have won many awards and certificates by drawing. My biggest dream is to have a world tour. I tend to be honest and kind because these values make someone reliable.
Managing brands
In five years, I see myself as a softmore in college. My favorite colleges so far are Princeton, Yale or Harbor. These schools seem to be very strict in accepting students. Many students do not pay attention with what they tweet. "They Loved Your G.P.A. Then They Saw Your Tweets" ( Singer, Natasha "They Loved Your G.P.A. Then They Saw Your Tweets", 2013 The New York Times Company, November 9, 2013) . This article explains how a College in Brunswick rejected a student for his tweets. When this student was in high school, he would tweet about his boredom in the assemblies. The College got a hold of these tweets and did not accept him. I will not make the same mistakes as the student because I want a good future. I tend to think before speaking. Colleges appreciate G.P.A, but if they see bad reputations, they will not accept students for the school "reputation". The article is HERE.
In ten years, I see myself as a professional lawyer graduated from college. When I grow up, I want to be a lawyer. To get there, my brand has to be balanced. Brands are always used because they are take people places. A teenage girl made a huge mistake moaning about her job. "Teenage office worker sacked for moaning on Facebook about her totally boring job" (Levy, Andrew "Teenage office worker sacked for moaning on Facebook about her totally boring job", February 26, 2009) Kimberly was underwhelmed with her job and started to make it look bad. She complained for having to shred and organize paper. The company saw the posts and fired her. She repelled but was still fired. The article is HERE. When professions are finished, it is best to not talk about them. In this century, finding a simple post is very easy. Becoming a lawyer will take time, but anything is possible by having a balanced brand.
To accomplish my goals, I need to finish high school. "Brand Management is a full time job" ( Linne 45). While I am on my journey, I have to manage my brand to have a good resume for college. Many people have been rejected by colleges for have posted inappropriate stuff. " In the end, its up to each of us to be our own manager on Facebook, just as we are everywhere else"(Linne 64). The main social media is Facebook. Many people can control themselves on Facebook by thinking of how they act towards others.

Outer self
I want others to see me as an honest, reliable and trustworthy person. So far, I believe that others view me as the characteristics listed. I tend to always tell the truth, rely on others and be relied on. " It is now almost as important to consider what Google thinks about you as what people think about you" (Linne 65). In this century, Google has gotten very powerful. Basically all of someone's information can be found online. People should be careful about what they post because they could be scarred for life. "There is real power in speed and communicating your message through technology" (Linne 78). These days, it is easier to communicate your message through the Internet.
